Best Buddies was started by my pure adoration of all things furry! I've been in love with animals all my life. As a child, I remember walking to the local animal shelter to visit all the pets and give them some love and company. There is nothing in this world that can quite match the unconditional love a pet can bring to your life. It has been an extreme pleasure to turn my love of animals into a profession.
One of my fondest memories was the time before college when I was working as a kennel assistant at a well known animal hospital in the Florida Keys. My responsibilities included taking care of the boarders, basic grooming and medication administration. I remember having forty furry creatures to take care of and loving every minute of it! After earning a degree from The Art Institute of Colorado, working for 5 years as a video editor & travelling the world, I decided to pack it all up, move to California & start my own business doing something I loved. In 2003, Best Buddies was born! |

Nancy Paulsen joined Best Buddies as a client in 2003 and as a Pet Care Specialist in 2006. Her knowledge and experience with all kinds of animals, from birds to reptiles to fish, etc - you name it - has proved invaluable and her warm, caring nature is greatly appreciated by pets and humans alike! Nancy is interested in different pet therapy's as well, including Pet Massage, Hydrotherapy, Agility Training, etc. Her love of animal's knows no bonds!
